Frame
The frame welding started in earnest this stretch off. Getting the Timbren axle-less axle mounts installed temporarily so I can put one of the 2x3 crossmembers directly over the axle's inboard flange then I'll make a retention bracket to help stiffen the frame tube at the axle mount as the mounting bolts get torqued to 165 ft lbs which could potentially deform or crush the tube.
What I drew up for the axle retention bracket (in blue):

I stick welded the frame with 1/8" 7018 kept in a rod oven, probably unnecessary but if the stick welds look good they almost always are strong welds has been my experience whereas with MIG welding it's much easier to get poor welds that look ok.
